Introduction to CESS
CESS is a permanent committee affiliated with JECK (Japan, Europe, China, Korea), an international organization of shipbuilding associations from Korea, Japan, China, and Europe. Each shipbuilding association has its own major shipyards as members, and thus CESS’s member are major shipyards from all over the world.
At CESS, the common interests of shipyards in each country are put on the agenda, and in-depth discussions are held, and activities such as the role of making proposals to international organizations and technical exchanges may be carried out.
Dr. Jong Gye Shin was elected as the third chairman of CESS in October 2023 after his predecessor Mr. Iwamoto of Japan, and is serving a three-year term.
